Freedom Swim

The Freedom Swim is by far the toughest cold water endurance event, with temperatures around 13C (55.4F) currents, swell, and other water creatures. The swim starts at Murray beach on Robben Island and ends at Bloubergstrand Big Bay, north of the rocks. The swim is a distance of 7.5km however, the currents and the swell can increase the distance as much as 10%.
