Graskop is a charming town with lots of interesting things to do and see. It cashes in on the tourists traveling to and from the world famous Kruger National Park, as well as the many other scenic winders situated in Mpumalanga. Stopover for lunch or tea, or simply to stretch your legs after a long and tiresome drive.

There are a number of good and affordable restaurants scattered throughout the town, as well as a wealth of curio and craft shops. Graskop is situated about five and a half hours from Johannesburg by road, with the nearest airport being in Nelspruit, 2 and a half hours drive away. The charming mining town of Pilgrim's Rest is situated just 10 kilometres away.

Graskop is renowned for 2 things, its famous waterfall and Harrie's Pancake Shop. Harrie's Pancake is known to serve the best pancakes this side of the equator, and many guests stop here for a delicious treat en route to the Blyde River Canyon. Graskop is also home a vibrant artistic community, so there are lots of curio and craft shops dotted throughout the town.

Graskop is situated close to the Lowveld National Botanical Garden, set just outside Nelspruit. Blind travelers fear not, you will also be catered for. Experience the spectacular Bourke's Luck Potholes on the Lichen Trail. This is a 180 metre trail near Graskop that offers wide pathways and audio tapes for blind walkers.

While travelling the Panorama Route, visitors can enjoy stunning views of the beautiful Graskop Gorge, into which the Graskop Waterfall flows. This is a wonderful example of the areas amazing natural landscapes.

Graskop was named after the treeless grassland that dominated the area in the past. Today, much of the area is cultivated, although there are areas where indigenous forests lie.
